Starting to really feel the wedding stress. Up an hour before my alarm because my brain couldn’t stop thinking about how I want to do the table numbers and place cards.

Is it absurd that I bought a custom stamp off Etsy with our wedding website URL and spent an hour at The Paper Source deciding on paper color and stamp ink? Perhaps. But do I love our invitations and website enclosure? Yup!

1. BM dresses arrived today. I love them.
2. Invitations selected. I like them, but pretty indifferent to the invitations.
3. My mother drove me insane today.

I thought wedding planning would bring my mom and I closer. If anything it’s made me see what a negative person she is. And how truly old fashioned she is. It’s getting pretty annoying to hear her say “nobody does the proper” thing anymore. Sorry mother, I’m not going to waste paper and money by getting inner envelopes for the invites. Why was it ever “proper” to open a main envelope only to have to open the inner envelope to see the actual invite?

And she hates how people dance now. And she thinks drinking at weddings is tacky. And nobody is going to want to stay past the cake cutting at 9:30 pm. Sorry mother, you’re probably going to be the only person not drinking and ready to go to bed at 10 pm. It makes me kind of sad.

AND I AM SO FREAKIN EXCITED!!!

It’s going to be a beautiful, rustic, mason jar filled wedding.

Until our closest friends and family are gathered for the celebration of the year. I really don’t know how I’m going to wait that long. At least I have the holiday season to keep me busy and distracted. What am I going to do after that?

Still loving every minute. Seems like all the fun parts will be finishing up in November:

1. Cake tasting is set
2. Having dinner at potential rehearsal dinner spot
3. Selecting and ordering the invites so I can send them out in January!!!!!!!
4. Sample bridesmaids dresses will arrive and hopefully one selected.
