“Take names. Remember them. The behavior of certain Republicans who call themselves Tea Party conservatives makes them the most destructive posse of misguided ‘patriots’ we’ve seen in recent memory.” —conservative columnist Kathleen Parker on the debt ceiling debacle. (via washingtonpoststyle)

Last Meals Project → lastmealsproject.com

Fascinating to see what death row inmates request as their last meal. Ranges from two pints of mint chocolate chip ice cream to just a cup of coffee.

I am so glad we ended up with a two bedroom apartment. I really don’t know how we would have set up one of the small, newer one bedrooms we were looking at. Between our skiing gear, camping gear, my clothes and Casey’s workout stuff, we would have been dying for space.

Pardon my sensible flats. I was not expecting to be photographed at the market. Clearly, Katie wasn’t planning on being seen, either.

First night living in Arlington and it feels pretty awesome.

Jul 26, 2011

My goals as a wifey are quite old fashioned but I don’t care. I want to always look good for my man. I want to eat a good dinner at a table every night and enjoy conversation. I want to pack lunches. I want my man to feel beyond satisfied with me.

I guess I balance all this with the fact I have my own career and my own friends. But I’ll be honest, what makes me happiest in life is making my partner feel special and cared for.

Cheers to my new life living with my love.

Me: I’m so excited
Friends: What are you excited about?
Me: I dunno, just really happy.
Friends: You are such a nerd.

This weekend was pretty low key, but enjoyable because we were busy getting things for our new apartment and starting the moving process.

Friday evening we went to Lost Dog Cafe. They have a great beer selection and the pizza and sandwich we shared were quite tasty. Our visit also prompted us to look at adoptable puppies online all weekend. We’re gonna try to hold out until spring, so we can go skiing this winter and get one camping trip in before training a baby, but that might be hard to do.

Also noteworthy this weekend was the development of my parrano cheese addiction. Expect to be served that when you come over.

Tonight is the last night I sleep in my apartment. And to celebrate the occasion, I’m having a date with the ladies to check out Graffiato. Review to come.
